Following our successful delivery of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama website redesign, we were asked back to design and produce a Strategic Plan. We were briefed to create a document that showcased the organisation’s photographs and would capture the excitement, diversity and energy of its work, while retaining a sense of formality.
At this point CDD didn’t have any formalised brand guidelines, so we saw this project as a good opportunity to produce a guide to set the tone for how the organisation should communicate visually in print going forwards. For this, we established new typographic rules and grids, echoing the visual language of the website in order to create a synergy between the organisation’s online and offline communication materials.
The report itself was printed at undersize A5, differentiating it from the more ubiquitous A4 or A5 reports of a similar nature, ensuring it stood out from crowd while reflecting the organisation’s sense of gravitas.
