The Challenge

During 2016, SportAid are celebrating their 40th Anniversary year. The most prestigious event in the Spring calendar was a gala dinner hosted by the charity’s patron, The Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace. We were asked to create an event brand that was sophisticated and exclusive, to help invite, entice and entertain guests.

The solution

We created an illustration of the gates of Kensington Palace that held the event title between them. The event was small and exclusive and we wanted to emphasise the rare invitation inside the Palace. We further embedded this idea with a ticket that was a gatefold, and where the gates physically opened up to the content inside.

Gold foiling was used to indicate the true gold nature of the gates as well as to set the tone of the elegance of the evening. Along side the invitations and tickets, we produced a brochure for the evening, auction collateral and booking forms.
