Kick It Out approached us to design its annual review of the 2015/16 season. We were briefed to ensure the report highlighted key statistics and data from the 12 month period, as well as to create a look and feel for the report that captured the hands on nature of its work.
We developed a grid to support the use of multiple columns in order to contain pull quotes and infographics – a key part of our brief. We then created areas of negative space using the angled pitch shape of the Kick It Out logo, to add a sense of depth and visual pace to the layouts. On the cover we used spot UV effect to highlight the coloured angles, which featured images, and through out the report we used a bespoke and drawn font to create titles and graphic language that gave the report a human feel.
